DrRing uses the senior’s phone to make phone calls, send WhatsApp alerts, and share location during emergencies.
If the phone is switched off, discharged, or has no network, alerts cannot be sent.

DrRing does not continuously track location.
Location is shared only when the SOS button is pressed or a family alert is triggered.
Only registered family members receive this information.

Every button press is treated seriously because emergencies don’t come with warnings.
The phone automatically switches to loudspeaker mode.
Family members can speak loudly and clearly.
Even if the senior is not holding the phone, there is a chance they can hear and respond from a short distance.

That is perfectly okay.
It is always better to have a false alert than to miss a real emergency.
You can enable Accidental Button Press in the DrRing App. If enabled, no alert is sent if the action is cancelled within 30 seconds.
Note: This feature can also be used as Find My Phone.

If the phone goes out of range, family members receive an out-of-range WhatsApp alert.
No. This is expected.
DrRing is not a regular Bluetooth device like headphones or speakers.
As long as Bluetooth and Location are ON and the device is within range, it will work correctly.
DrRing can work, but we cannot guarantee 100% reliability if the phone is actively paired with Bluetooth audio devices.
Best practice: Avoid continuous Bluetooth audio devices when the senior is alone at home.
Adding more contacts does not increase the cost.
No.
Only the senior’s Android phone needs the DrRing app.
Family members receive alerts via WhatsApp messages and phone calls.
DrRing works on most Android smartphones.
If all permissions and settings are correct and it still does not work, we are just a call away.
Currently not supported:
Device battery lasts 30+ days.
Low-battery alerts are sent when battery drops below 20%.
Alerts are sent for both device battery and phone battery.
We strongly recommend testing once every 7–10 days.
Press the button and confirm alerts are received.
This builds habit and confidence.
If the subscription expires, the phone will function as a loud bell only, and the device will not function as an emergency system.
